Details

Olive Park is now 60% sold. They are still hoping for a move-in date in August but I still think that date needs to be taken with a grain of salt -- city permitting could hold things up for some time.

I don't know about you, but I can't WAIT to move in...

Open House -- April 13

We finally made it to another open house -- and of course the camera died on the train ride out to Brooklyn. Oh well, no photos this time. I can, however, tell you that the pool/spa/gym area is finished now and it looks AMAZING. The pool is small (no shocker there, lap swimming is gonna be hard) but the gym is totally nice and the whirpool/sauna area is absolute perfection. With all these incredible amenties, I may never leave the building.

bark bark woof woof

I'm so excited about this find! The Cooper Park Dog Run has its very own blog! My new goal: Get Sparkles on the 2009 calendar.

The site has some cool links Olive Park folks might like. Check out their Flickr stream and this nice history of Cooper Park.

Open House

So last weekend we wandered out to one of the open houses at Olive Park to take another look at our new pad. We didn't get to see the pool, unlike berzerkgirL who was there on the same day. Oh well. Anyone else head out to an open house? Did the apt&lofts folks seem happy to see you?

For what it's worth, the building is obviously still in a serious construction phase but the finished areas I saw looked amazing!

puppy paradise

I don't know about the rest of you but I'm very excited that Olive Park is right across the street from a dog park. I know Sparkles (our big black mutt) is going to love it there. Any other dogs in the house?

A few of my favorite things...

I live just down the block on Bushwick Ave between the Graham and Grand stops back in 2000 and I still love the neighborhood. My favorite spots: Tony's Pizza, Fortunato Brothers Bakery, Phoebe's (i used to eat there back when Phoebe actually owned the place!) and my new found fave -- albeit a few blocks away -- barcade.

Anyone else have a favorite spot out in the back end of Williamsburg? Has anyone even ventured inside the White Castle?
